Does anyone here use PSP X? I upgraded from version 8, but don't like 10. Makes my computer act funny, and someone said somewhere that the program monitors and sends back info to Corel. Is that true?

Can't help you with this but I can tell you I absolutely hate PSP X. I have it in my computer and never use it. It's way too slow and memory hungry. When I reformat I think I'll put a lower version in (if I can find one, that is).

Sorry to disagree with you ladies, but I use PSP X all the time and love it. I did have to upgrade my computer's memory when I bought PSP 8 because it was extremely slow when using lots of layers. Now it works much faster.

I like the new picker tool, which makes using PSP much easier than it used to be, and also the new photo restoration tools.

Anyone else out there like the program, too?

Momadoodle, thank you for sharing that info. I have 1 gig of ram in my computer, and Frida Frijoles (that's the puter), runs at 1500 GHz. So, it's not exactly an old computer.

But it just acted weird. I'm going to have to install it again and see. My biggest concern is what I heard about Corel monitoring what you do on the computer through the program. Maybe is not true, but I want to be sure.

When I was first using the program, I had it set at pixels/centimeter [rather than per inch], which made huge files! Correcting that made a big difference in the speed.

Do you have anti-spy software to check for cookies that you don't want to have?

Yes, I have Adaware. I still worry. I think I will contact the person that made that original comment, or check the net. Many times people that have had problems will post them online.

I do love version 8, though. So I can stick to that. But I so appreciate your imput. Have a great rest of the week.
