  • Viewing Templetes

I was wondering............. Is there a way to view the templete pages without going into the create or open existing scrapbook? I have tried from the folder to click on it but I get a message that says it is already there.

I've been opening the program and selecting to open a scrapbook, then will scroll down to find the templete that I had downloaded.

Seems like sometimes you have to go out of the program and back in it to get it to show up and other times it is right there.

Not sure why, but if you can't find something you just downloadedl, try and close the program and open it again. They are suppose to be in alphabetical order.

      Would Like To View Them....

without going through the process of opening it up. I like being able to view my embellishments from my desktop and not having to look at them only through the program. Don't know if that makes sense!

        Try this:

My computer > Local Disk (C > Program Files > Scrapbook MAX! > Gallery > Images

Voila! All of the content in Scrapbook MAX! is right there.

I put a shortcut to the scrapbook content folder right on my desktop. I rarely access anything through the program itself. I use the drag and drop feature which is soooo much faster and easier to use and to see what is in the folders. Follow the path Sandy gave you "My computer > Local Disk (C > Program Files > Scrapbook MAX! > Gallery > Images" and then right click on the images folder - go to "send to desktop" (as a shortcut) and that puts all the content right on your desktop without even having to go through the path to the folder. This way I can also easily and quickly add any other items I have downloaded or created and sort them right into the approriate categories.

Of course every one has their own way and you can do it however it works for you, but this sure works fastest for me.

            Me Too!

Marion, I also have a short cut on my desktop but I'm not able to look at the templetes. Whenever I click on the templete icon, it tells me that it is already there and asks if I want to override it.

Now, I have been goofing around and created a new problem...... Now when I go into the program to select a page, it is only showing pages through the "S". Is there a limit on how many templetes we can have? My folder has all my templetes but they are not all appearing in the program. Any Clues? I rebooted the computer no luck!

This is strange! I have no clue what happened! nie

I don't think it was anything you did, that happened to me a few days ago. I closed the program and opened it again and then they were there again. I thought I was going nuts. I don't know why it did that and it has only done it once so far. Maybe someone else would know. Maybe it is our computer telling us "Enough is enough, now go do some housework!"

Hope you get it figured out. All I know is when it gets to be to hard or complicated it is time to back off and come back later. Scrapping should be fun, not work!

                Still Checking

Marion, this is really weird. I have the icons in the file yet the templetes are not showing up in the program. Summer Breeze is the last one showing. I believe all the ones A-S are showing up but not the last part of the file. I shut down my computer for about 5 minutes then tried it again........... still no luck!

                  Onie,

Can you count how many templates you have installed? I have approx 35 at the moment and "Summer Breeze" is the last one

                  Should be located in:
                  "C:\Program Files\Scrapbook MAX!\Templates"

Also, I believe there is a limit of the number (64 seems to ring a bell... I'd have to research it) of icons you can send to your Windows Desktop.

That can't be it Steve, I just counted and I have well over 200 templates installed. Mine go all the way up to "wedding" and of course "Xena" my rottweiler.
I usually make a template of my layouts, so they are reusable especially the travel ones, and also it installs the smaller screenshot so uploading to the gallery is faster. You alone have given us a whole heap Steve, not to mention all the other generous members we have. Hopefully someone can figure it out.

Actually, it looks like SBM reads from both folders ...

                        "C:\Program Files\Scrapbook MAX!\Templates" and

                        "My Documents\Scrapbook MAX!\Templates"
