Need to restore object

I was in papershapes, shapes/objects I had renamed "photoshape-star1" to aastar so it would be one of the first shapes in the group. I thought it had been deleted totally as it wasn't showing at all. I have found it in the folder and renamed it back to photoshape-star1 but it's no longer a png like the other photoshapes. It also doesn't open automatically in "window picture and fax viewer" like the other photoshapes. There is no save as feature that I can find to move it back to a png or have it open with Window picture. Can anyone please tell me how to make the changes so I can restore the star 1 shape or add it as a download to your reply and I can have it that way. Thank you for your help on this.

pshatttuck... Are you putting the extension in when renaming? You must have the name of the graphic or file and the extension, .png.

I just added the extension- and it worked like magic. thank you thank you. I can't believe it was that easy.
