Please tell me why I lost a lot of the embellishments/pictures in my layouts, when I attempted to transfer them to another laptop. I moved my scrapbooks by using a SHARED DOCUMENTS between the two computers. It has me baffeled. Looks like I'm going to have to go back an totally redue my daughters wedding album because I have a bunch of placemarkers without the original goodies in them. Even the templetes I used are missing their backgrounds! Did I do something wrong or miss something is the process. I had about 25 pages and now I'm missing a lot on almost 17 of the pages. I'm frustrated but I would hate to have others lose their pages too.

Onie, are you including all the images that are located in your SMB project folder on your desktop machine? i.e

    "My Documents\Scrapbook Max!\Projects\My Scrapbook\Resources\Autoplay\Images"

You need the keep the structure of the folder intact in order to for SBC to find the images, backgrounds, etc.

Just a thought here and may not relate to your problem Onie, but I noticed that sometimes when I added a page from another of my albums and the original page had GROUPED items that the new album page would show missing embellishments that were a part of the original "group". Maybe this relates?

      Just tossing out ideas.

        Project File

I moved the entire Project file with all of the scrapbooks. I did not seperate anything. I figured if you use the whole project folder then all componets would be there.

          Onie,

Here's another thought... are the images that you are using located in a somewhere else in a drive/folder on your desktop machine that might not exist (yet) on your new laptop?

You can't "share" projects on the network. You *must* copy them to your "\My Documents\Scrapbook MAX!\Projects\" folder.
Scrapbook MAX! 2.0 is here!. It's simply better digital scrapbooking software!

              Hello,

Are you still able to access your scrapbooks as they were intended on your old computer? If so -- it looks like some files may not have been copied over correctly / at all.

Please let me know! As well, please post the exact process you used to transfer your scrapbooks. The more detail the better!

              Desmond.

                Don't have the files now

I lost those completed files. I will have to go back and fix them.... I then went to Circuit City to get advise on archiving the published files and have gotten multiple explainations on what can and can not be done. I can not believe that we can not save one file at a time on a CD-RW. Just keep adding to disc but I'm now told that you have to erase the disc and re write with the all the desired files. I'm trying to find a good safe way to store my finished products and get them off the memory of my computer.

                Any suggestions is appreciated.
