  • Printing Question

Can I get 8 x 10 prints from a layout hat was done 8 1/2 x 11, without having to resize them? Has anyone printed a different size from what the layout was created? I'm wanting to print a couple 8 x 10's to frame for my mom.

I'm not going to do anything until I get imput from the group!

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,

    My 2 cents:

    1) If your embellishments are far enough away from the edge of the paper, you could allow your printer to 'crop' your design to 8x10

    2) You could resize your design (after it's been published) to 8x10 -- The change of aspect ratio from 8.5x11 to 8x10 isn't huge, so it may still look OK.

    3) You could use a program such as Photoshop to perform a combination crop / resize (so you get the best looking area of your scrapbook in the crop, and then a resize to make it a perfect 8x10.

    4) You could resize your layout within scrapbook max (I know, you said you didn't want to do this) and adjust the embellishments, if option 1 - 3 don't work for you.

    Desmond.

You can also just print it at 8x10 and Scrapbook MAX will resize it and center it on the paper automatically.

Here's how to print at a specific size:
        1. Choose File > Print Setup.
        2. In the "Page Scaling" section, select "Scale to size" and set the size to whatever size you would like, for example 10 high x 8 wide.
        3. Click OK.
        4. Choose File > Print to print the scrapbook.

Remember go back to Print Setup and change the settings back to your normal preference once you're done printing.
