  • "Joining" two embellishments?

Hello there. My name is Kimberly. I am fairly new to Scrapbook Max and I have a question about joining two embellishments. I would like to use the ribbon and little buckle from the Waves embellishment folder and join them so that the ribbon is wrapped through the buckle. Is there a way to do this? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Well, here it is. I don't know where you wanted the buckled, so I had to guess, but you can always crop the ribbon and reposition it. It that does not work, please tell me exactly where to put it (carefull now ) and I will try again. Oh, yeah, ah.... Max does not have an option to do this. You need an image editor like PS, PSP, PSE or PI.

    Enjoy!

Well, it could have been PictureIt!

              Thanks for the correction.

This can be done in scrapbook max by cropping and layering the two items together. I have done it with alot of trial and error. The buckle in this set does not work well with this method do to all of the shading.

Step 1. make the buckle the size you want it for your ribbon.
Step 2. make three copies of the buckle
Step 3. put one buckle behind the ribbon.
Step 4. crop 1/2 of one of the extra buckles to take out the center piece, crop the last buckle to make up the opposet side.
Step 5. now take the 2 croped halves and place them over the original buckle to match. It works best if you zoom in big on your work to place them as close as possible.

                      I hope this makes sence.

This does work for me since I do not have any of the fancy programs that some of these other ladies have. I'm glad they are quick to help us newbies out.
