I did what you mentioned. Remember I was having problems with a grainy texture in my pictures and so disappointed in my digital prints.Thanks for your advise. I set my pictures(in my camer) for a larger size and WOW what a difference. So excited and thanks again.

Sounds like that was the problem... Too small a photo size... The first digital camera I had was one of those Sony Mactiva's that only took photos @640x480... Great for web stuff, but lousy for print.

Down in Nova Scotia wheither you be a man or women it is just a figure of speech to say you guys. So thanks again. I have had the camera for 2 years and did not know this and if it wasn't for you guys helping out I would have not got a digital camera again but I like it now. Yipee.

Never thought about pic size

I noticed some of my pics are grainy too. I have 3 settings and I keep it on the middle setting because I was told if you use the SHARPE setting, it takes forever to send via email. So, I'm using a EMail setting. My digital camera is an oldie "Kodac 3.1 meg px" I"M planning to upgrade to a new one that is over 6 meg pix. Okay, so lets review here. Your saying if I change my camera setting to the sharper pic then I will get better printed pics?

I'm a firm believer in ALWAYS setting your camera to the highest resolution it is capable of. You can always resize it on your computer to something smaller for email, etc.

Remember, you can always throw pixels out later if you need to but you can't add them.

I will change my settings NOW so I can compare. One of the reasons for using the lower setting was that I could get a lot more pics in the memory chip.

I did that to so that I could get more pics and I had a hard time liking digital pictures till I started asking questions and many angels answered.What a difference. You can make them smaller in the computer. A little more time but worth it.Wow what a difference it made. They were so grainy before. Now they are so clear.

I thought this way at first when I got my first digital camera. Then I got that first picture that I thought would look nice blown up larger to frame for the wall and I was very disappointed that there wasn't enough resolution to enlarge it. That's when I went out and bought another memory stick so I could take more pictures but at the larger resolution.

Funny...... I have NEVER considered using less than the maximum quality that my camera was capable of..... I have always used the highest resolution and have never been disappointed in a pic.....

I was so new at it and I could never figure out what the problem was till I ask here and now I will be very happy with the results. I am still planning on getting a bigger one for Christmas.Glad my question helped others as well.
