  • Question about Publish to Images

I may be going wacky or have messed something up. It seems when I Publish to Images the resulting jpg is now 5.33 inches x 5.33 inches @ 300 dpi instead of the 8" x 8" @ 200 dpi it used to be. SBM still shows them as 8x8/200 in the program but that ain't what I'm getting after publishing to image.

    Is this right?

Do you have the size set to "Full Size"?
Scrapbook MAX! 2.0 is here!. It's simply better digital scrapbooking software!

It's setting the dpi to 300 regardless of the quality or size settings. If the size is set to full size I get 5.33" x 5.33". If I set the size to large I get 3.4" x 3.4", etc.

What program are you using that is telling you the pic is 300 dpi? It could just be that the program is assuming 300 dpi?

Does it tell you the dimentions of the image in pixels? If so it should be 1600 x 1600 = 8 x 8 at 200 DPI or 5.33 x 5.33 at 300 dpi. Set your printer or program to 200 dpi and it should work.

I thought that might be the case too. It's shows the same thing in windows explorer's file properties, irfanView, PSE 4 and Photoshop 7 though.

I'm uninstalling and reinstalling and do some more tests before and after I patch. I'll let you know what I come up with.

            Adam,

It seems to me to be something in SBM that is doing this. I have tried all the different settings in SBM and in all cases the resulting jpg files show 300 dpi in windows explorer properties, irfanView, PS7, PSE4 and PSP. The only place that shows 200 dpi is the page settings in SBM itself when I create the page.

I tried the reverse and created several layouts in the above mentioned programs at 200 dpi and then saved them as jpg files. When the resulting jpg files are viewed in the above mentioned programs they all show 200 dpi as expected.

Any suggestions as to why this is?
