Everyone in this forum is just the best!! It's funny how excited I got when I found out my layout won the contest...I guess even the little awards mean so much more when it's something you really care about! I am passionate about my pictures...especially the ones of my family.
Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement...I feel so lucky to be able to share my passion with others who also have a love (or addiction! ) of the computer and scrapbooking!
I would like to know how to make a photo as the background like you did in your layout. Would you please share your expertise?
Thanks in advance,
TS
Choose the photo wisely, you need room around the elements in the background photo to be able to add photos on top without covering anything up! For 12 x 12, you just need to crop the photo square (I use HP Image Zone, because you can choose a perfect square and you don't have to eyeball it!) When bringing the photo into SBM, you have two options, first you can import it as a photo....if you do this, you just have to resize it to fill your entire page, then for this layout I made it slightly transparent (to give it the soft look.) Then "lock" it so you don't accidently move it around. Second, you can import it as a background...if you do this, just apply a white paper scrap over the top and make the paper scrap mostly transparent (to also give the background photo the soft look.)
I hope this helps...if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer!
