  • Uploading to Gallery error

I am currently trying to upload some of my pages to the member gallery, but I am getting errors.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2600 bytes) in [path]/gallery/image-inc.php on line 115

I read on a previous thread to change the size of my image to medium. Can anyone tell me where to do this from?

I am just going to GALLERY IMAGE UPLOAD > BROWSE to my PUBLISHED FILES > then clicking UPLOAD.

I don't see an option to choose a size on the upload screen. Please help ! What am I doing wrong? Any assistance is appreciated and welcomed.

    Frustrated in Pittsburgh,

    Hi Rachel,

Your really professional help will probably come tomorrow, but you can set your layout to medium when you publish it. You can republish your layout with high quality and medium size and then go online and upload your layout to the gallery. I hope this helps. The experts will weigh in tomorrow for sure!

Maggie is right, when you PUBLISH your pages, select WEB/Email if your just posting on the gallery. It will make your file size smaller. It is on the same window as you set where you want it saved at.

      Hope this helps.

        Hello,

From a technical standpoint, that error means that the gallery doesn't have enough memory allocated to it to resize the picture you uploaded. Making that error 'prettier' is on my to-do list.

The reason we just don't simply allocate more memory is that we don't want to risk having our site slow to a crawl because too many users (or just one ill-meaning user) uploads extremely large files. It's a constant balancing act!

        Thanks!
        Desmond.

              Your LO's Are Adorable!

I'm so glad you figured out the problem. Have you been doing digital before? I see some cute things. I really love the DENIUM POCKETS idea. I have the Denium paper but not the pockets. Very cute! Keep up the good work!
