  • Problem accessing my pics.

At last, I thought, I can now do some scrapping..........

BUT, I cannot load my pics into my scrapbook layout, they are all in jpeg format, but when I try to add them, I get messages, fatal error, or this link is not supported and a couple more, which I cannot remember It is so frustrating, I know it must be something I am doing or have done wrong, can anyone help please.

    Many thanks in advance.

      jpg problem

After reading your text I tried loading a jpg photo and had no problem. I know I used jpg for scraps and embellishments also. Don't know enough about the technical aspect of the program, but have you tried reinstalling the program? Hope someone else can give you better advice.

Hi Mary from just down the road in Lincoln!! I find if I have SBM & the folder containing the pictures open alongside each other, I can then 'drag' the photo I want into SBM & it works every time. all my phots are jpg.
        Have you tried that?

You might try re-installing the program in case it has a little glitch! Hope one of the experts weighs in soon!

            Hi Mary...

Any details about the image your trying to load into SBM? Size, etc? Can you open the image in another program?

If you can do a "Print Screen" (press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard, which sends it to the clipboard, then you can paste the image in Paint or another image-editing program you have, then post the image) of the error, may be I can point you in the right direction...

BTW... the Scrapbook MAX! crown in on holiday until Tuesday (Canadian Turkey Day?)

I was just coming in to post that I am having the same exaxt problem. I try to upload my photos into SBM and my program freezes. Anyone who can help....who be grateful appreciated. It is frustrating me.
I however have not tried to reinstall, but that might be worth a shot on my part.....

                Another Idea

Maybe you are uploading from a folder that is overloaded. Do you have this problem with all the graphics? I have one folder with lots of scraps and noticed it took forever to upload the jpg paper. I thought it was hung up but just had to wait until it processed the file. Solution to this is dividing large folders into smaller folders.

Thank you for your replies, I have uninstalled and re-installed twice. The overloaded folder sounds promising though.

                  Thanks again,

I will try tomorrow, it is nearly the "witching hour" here and I might turn into a pumpkin.

                  Good night and God Bless

                    Hello Russell,
I have only just seen your reply, usually I can open my images into the Paintshop pro programme, I must admit that some of them are large.
Would it be possible for me to go through all my pictures and save them in another format which is compatible to SBM.

                    Many thanks
                    Mary

Hi Mary, I think that if you open them with paintshop pro and then save them as PNG files, they should work for you. Try it and let me know if that works for you.
