      Hi
The instructions do come with the downloads, can be a little double dutch, unzip the file to where you put your files, then right click on the extracted file and copy the entire file, navigate your way to where your program is, usually it is in the c drive, programs, adobe elements, open this file and find the file which says presets and then filters and copy your file into this one, the you have to go back the the file that says cache and delete all 3 boxes and then restart elements they should be available under your layers pallette, hoep this helps

          Hi
Im Sorry the atomic ones go into the preview files if you double click on the preview files you will see 3 files they will be names cache, effects and filters, the atomic ones go into the effects file, then you go to the cache file and double click on the effects cache file and it will open and you will see another 3 files in there called catergory cache, list cache and thumb nail cache, you must delete all 3 files and then restart elements and then wait while the program rebuilds the list and you will then see the atomic cupcake effects will show up in the thumbnails, Im sorry I gave you the wrong file names before, but it was late sorry , I hope this helps you out this time

                Nana,

I use Photoshop 6.0... try looking in:
                "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 5.0\Presets"

You should see folders for "Brushes", "Contours", "Gradients", "Actions", etc

                Brushes use: ".abr" extension
                Contours use: ".shc"
                Gradients use: ".grd"
                Patterns use: ".pat"
                Actions use "atn"

Whatever the Atomic Cupcake extension is should go into the mathcing appropriate folder... Close Photoshop, copy the AC files, then startup PHotoshop again.

Steve there isn't a folder for the actions and thats apparently what I need, can i make a new folder under preset with one? If so what all do I need to do with it? Just make the folder?

I have one action loaded from Atomic Cupcake and this is what I had to do to load it.

Make sure3 elements is NOT running when doing this.

It unzipped into it's own folder under "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Previews\effects\atomic_cupcake_pristinechip".

Then under "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Previews\cache\effects cache" there are 3 files to delete. They are CategoryCache.che, ListCache.che and ThumbNailCache.che. These cache files are rebuilt when you restart Elements.

Keep in mind I am running version 4.0 and things may have changed in version 5.0. Backup those files somewhere before deleting or seek additional help if things aren't in the directories I've outlined above.

Hope this helps. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner but things have been a madhouse around here lately.

Poppabob it's alright a couple of others did try to help me out in your absences. A is forgiven,(HUGS) I think we have wonderful people out here. I have searched and searched with no success as to find a cache folder with the file name. this is odd, first time I have never found a cache for something that I need. I do really appreciate yours and anybody elses input. Gets frustrating when your looking for something thats just not there. What else is odd is that there isnt a preview folder for the effects. hum, nanac scratching head........ I will keep trying. I had the trial version of 4.0 and upgraded to the 5.0. Now under the 4.0 version I found a folder for effects and one for previews.
