  • Chipboard Alphabet Tutorial?

    Hi,
I am loving Scrapbook Max and have started creating with Photoshop. I am dying to make a chipboard alphabet. Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial?
    Thanks

Hi Kritt...... here is a link to some Chipboard Alphas that I did a while back using PSE and an effect that I got at Atomic Cupcake..... I wasn't thrilled with the color after they were finished, but by playing with them in PS or PSE, you can 1) use your magic wand tool and select the white painted areas 2) add a layer 3) select the color you want to use, and then 4) select the paint can and apply a new color...... I used the StencilD font.

If you are wanting to create your own chipboard alphas (or elements), the best advice I could give you would be to go to Atomic Cupcake and download the chipboard effect (I think it's a free one to get you hooked).... When you are using the effect in PS/PSE you would just 1) create a new project and make sure it will have a transparent background 2) select your font 3) use your magic wand tool to select the letter 4) choose your effect and apply it, and then 5) wait for your computer to do its' thing..... you'll get the finished alpha/element in a new window...... be sure to save it as a PNG file..... and that's all there is to it.... HTH
