Vertical or slanted text
Hi, sorry you haven't rxd an answer sooner. The short answer is that you can't do this in the current version of SBM. It is on a list of requested features for the future.
You can use a second tool like Photoshop Elements (PSE) to create the text and export it to SBM as an embellishment. When doing so, you'll want to export your text as a transparent png which is a type of graphics file. There are tutorials in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section that address transparent pngs.
If you don't have PSE, you can use other tools such as Corel PSP, Ulead Photo Impact and possibly even Microsoft Word. If you need more help, just post again or send a PM (private message).Lee Otsubo

Ok. here is what you do....
Open a journaling box in Max. The one with the little notebook icon. Then, Type your first letter and hit enter, then type the next letter in the word and hit enter. Keep doing this until you have the entire word spelled out. Use double space to separate the words like you would with regular typing. At the bottom of the text there is an icon for centering the words. Click on it. If this is a caption, you may want to also click on the Bold icon to make the text stand out. Click ok.
Now, when the word appears on the page, you may have to use the little handle bars that surround the word, to make the box larger and show the entire word.
Tha's all, folks. Let me know if you need splaining! I will send you a bill, then we'll see.

Got me good...
Very clever, Granny. Sometimes, I think too much...
Let's see you do vertical or slanted text (as in a 1000 word journal) with that technique! (I'm just jealous 'cause I didn't think of it).Lee Otsubo

Lee, you do my heart good!! Well, actually, it only works if they want to do titles. Journaling would be way more difficult and only limited to small paragraphs. And don't worry, sometimes I don't get it either, that is why we are here to learn from each other. I learn a lot from you too!
Hey, Ontario is close to me, but I had just been there. Next time you're a little closer to the San Fernando Valley, please let me know, I would love to go to one of your lectures. <Whisper> And throw rotten tomatoes at him, heheheh <Whisper>
