Hi there!
You've chosen the right program! Scrapbook MAX lets you add at least one hundred pages in a single scrapbook (and remember, you could always make several scrapbooks - e.g. "Childhood", "Teenage Years", etc.). You can add music (just click on the music notes to add your "soundtrack"). And yes, you can play your scrapbook on a DVD player.

Adding "Background Music" is covered near the end of Chapter 3, and publishing to various formats (i.e. how to make a scrapbook that can be viewed in different ways) is found in Chapter 6 "Publishing and Sharing" - it goes into quite a bit of detail of what formats are best for viewing on TV.
