i really need help please!!!!

HELLO
i am new to scrapbook i really havent design any yet but i would like to know if you can help me here please?
i downloaded the free version of scrapbookmax, i want to know how do i add to the software some layout freebies from another site ,i downloaded the file to my pc but now how do i import the layouts and buttons to use them in scrapbookmax or other scrapbook software?

Hi Bryana...

Many of the freebies out there were made with PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, or Photo Impact. They are usually saved in layers in one file, as jpgs or pngs. You may need to open the file in SBM and then crop the object you need from the page in order to use it. Or they may be in individual jpgs or pngs. You need to open the folder and either drag and drop directly to SBM, or open them in SBM as embellishments.

WHAT IS SBM??
i still cant figure out how do i send them to scrapbook max, i have tried and it wont let me. do you know where i can find the step by step instructions to follow once i donwload the layout to my pc?

SBM is our acryonm for "ScrapBook MAX!"

A layout that has been created by a Scrapbook MAX user has the ".smt" file extension . If you double-click it, it will install in the templates folder.

A booster pack that's been create by a Scrapbook MAX! user has the "smb" file extension. These are usually individual embellishments rthat can be installed by double-clicking on the file as well...

Layouts from other sites usually are in ".zip" format and do NOT automatically install if you double-click on them. You have to "extract" or "unzipped" the contents (Scrapbook MAX! supports JPG & PNG formats) into a folder on your hard drive, then do as Granny suggested, "drag & drop" into the Scrapbook MAX! program.
