Where are the 1000's of Templates?

Hello!

I just installed my Scrapbookmax and have 31 Templets that were loaded. On the back of the CD case it says, "thousands of pre-desigined layout templates." I've been working for the last few hours on the computer and cannot find these "1000's of templates."

Can someone PLEASE direct me?

This is rather funny. I posted the same comment last week, wondering where the thousands of templates are.

Some one pointed out that is actually says, "Thousands of templates, papers and embellishments." It is not just thousands of templates.

You should have said, "31 pre-desigined templates and thousands of papers and embellishments." Just be honest!

I'd return this CD, but my girls are so excited over it. Oh well, I'm sure our family will still have some nice scrapbooks.

This is the earlier thread. It totals the templated and a rough count of embellishments. I do think something should be posted in the FAQ section by Scrapbook Max that breaks down the content as this query is raised again and again.

To be honest, I never was concerned with how many templetes are on the CD. I have been here on the forum since early May, and it has been my experience that I have received more templetes from the creative members on this form, than I can pics. Just hang around here, you will be pleasantly surprized.

I purchased another scrapbook program from a FRYS Electronics (larger than Circuit City) and I paid about the same price. I hated it! It is not user friendly, and I've not been able to make the first page. If I had the opportunity to have had a TRIAL version of that software, I would not have wasted my money. The one I bought claimed to have all the stuff, but good is it, if I can not use them. I have also heard others say that they too have used other softwares for scrapbooking and they all agree that SMB is by far the best one they've found.

I do challenge you to hang around here, download every templete you find, and every embellishment. You will quickly discover just how easy it is to change them, add to them, and customize them for you personally.

You will love it here, not to mention the fact that you will love the members of the forum. Just ask if you need help, are looking for something, etc. Someone is always close by and willing to help. Now I will tell you, that this group is also crazy and we love to have fun.

Thank you Nie for responding. Yes I could download every templete, but I decided to get 1000's of ALREADY DOWNLOADED templetes because this is mainly for my 3 young girls. They don't have all the skills to find, templets and add embellishments and all the other computer skills you need to make a nice scrapbook.

Regarding the unclear wording on the back of the CD case, we have adjusted that for the next run of CD's that we have produced. Please allow me to express my apologies for any misunderstandings.

A question if I may -- does it say "Thousands of templates, papers and embellishments" anywhere before you purchase? I don't believe so, but I want to be sure. Unclear wording after the purchase is one thing (that, hopefully, we've now rectified), however we certainly do not want our customers to make purchase decisions based on incorrect information.

There are definitely thousands of embellishments, backgrounds, paper patterns etc included on the Scrapbook MAX! CD-ROM. If you don't have them, it means you didn't install the "Content Pack" from the CD-ROM.

I don't think it's a problem Desmond, it just needs claryifying. So many people ask about this that somewhere they must be finding this information. If a breakdown was posted in FAQ it would be really helpful. Thanks very much, we re all very grateful for all your help in this great programme and community x

I'm OK with the Wording Personally

I can see where some might misunderstand.

However, I personally didn't take it to mean that there were "thousands" of each...just thousands of useful scrapbooking elements, worded so we'd know that at least part of it was paper, part embelishment, and part templates.

If you consider that there are 5 pages to each group of templates...wow. I don't get free templates with any other software I've ever used, and NO entirely completed albums all coordinated! What a new concept!

I think it's a great deal for this market. Great work!

Also for those that don't already know, when you add a page or create a new scrapbook you can duble click on the white backgorund and a dialog box will appear. Check the box image and there are more backgrounds with the cordinating kits from scrapbook max. I didn't discover it until I found it a month after purchasing the program. But I was never disappointed with the program I had purchased. I love SBM. It's great. Hope this gives a little more insight to the newbies.

Yes it does say 1000's, but not all templates. 1000's includes everything.
I didn't care how many templates and embies there were, I have tried so many different scrapbooking programmmes and SBM is the only one that is easy enough for a child to use, it's so user friendly. also the only one with so many free items and they download straight into SBM, perfect... hassle free.....
SBM is a very user friendly software and I'm very sure your girls will be able to create some beautiful layouts of their own with all the embies and papers already available with your cd. Once they start you'll have trouble getting them to stop. And after they've played with and feel comfy with using SBM then you could show them how to find temps and embies on SBM, all you need to do is click on the community tab in the top right hand corner of your screen and as long as your online it'll take you to the forum where you would scroll down till you find TEMPLATES or EMBELISHMENTS and that's where any one that is able to create and share puts their items for free, you just click on the download link at it'll download straight into SBM so next time you open SBM there they are, just waiting for your girls to play.

I added a page and tried new scrapbook. When I double clicked on the white page added it broght up the settings dialogue. Is that the one Nana?
See Flutter you shouldn't feel thick Perhaps we should have a special group for us who are not able to grasp things so easily! I read things and just think, no chance of me doing that. My son's thinking of changing his name to 'Can you spare a minute'......I'm always calling him to get me out of trouble with my lappy! He's the most patient person but even he does not understand why this old brain can't absorb what he explains.
Oh well back to hit and miss
