Hey folks, it's just been pointed out to me by Maggie Mae, that some folks may not know how to use tiles in Max! Here is the deal...
Very often, when I create my templates, I use tiles for the backgrounds. Tiles usually come in 200x200 pixels. You can import them using the background import, and click on the tile box. Picture included below.
If you like to drag and drop when you use Max, you can still use the tiles. Just drag them onto your work space, and when the window pops up, click on the bottom option, "background tile".
The advantage of using tiles is that they are very small in size, quick to download, and you don't have to reformat the page size, since they will adjust to whatever page size you're using. Of course, this won't work with some backgrounds. But in many cases, it will really be helpful.
If you have any questions on using tiles, please let me know.
