  • Monitor size and resolution?

Hi gang.... I'm working on a super duper project, but need to know what size monitor ya all have and what resolution they are set at? Pretty please with sugar on top. I would do a voting thingy, but don't know how.

Your're help is so much appreciated. Thank you for your kindness.

                  Screen Resolution

If you right-click on the Windows Desktop (anywhere but an icon), select "Properties", then "Screen Resolution", then "Settings".

                  See attached...

Higher resolutions give you more "real estate" on your Windows desktop, but the icons and type are smaller... Also depends on what your monitor and video adapter support ( i.e. mine goes up to 1280 x 1024... I run it at this size for Photoshop, any larger and I wouldn't be able to read the type!) ... You can experiment by moving the screen resolution slider in the Display dialog. You won't hurt anything and you can easily reset it.

Thank you all for your help. I have written (with some help), a multimedia program that allows you to create slides shows really easy, and that has a custumized menu that matches the templates on your show. It also allows you to move photos from one directory to another, send your pictures through e-mail as you watch, play music, etc.

Just trying to figure out the best size to make the menu, and I think that 1024x768 wins. This is not competition to Max, as Max's program is much more advance, but for those that just want to share their slide show for viewing strictly on computers, with no commercial advertising at the end, this might be your ticket. It is intended as a compliment to Max, not competition.

Please let me know if this is something you can use. Thank you so much for your help.

ps: Crops.... Crank it up to the highest resolution. It will self destruct in 5 seconds and I will get some peace and quiet! Then make a new resolution to get help from Dr. Marion. I love you, mutt!!!
