  • Multi page template

I am wondering how to install templates so all the pages are in the same template.

For example, the Christmas is for children template pages submitted by Debbie. She submitted 6 pages separately. When you install them, they are 6 separate templates. How can I install them so that I have a 6 page template?

I also bought pages from Digital Scrapbook Country. Each page in the set is separate and I would like to install as one template.

    Thanks for any ideas.

I think if you open one template, then click on add page it will open up the selection to add another template. Then you just repeat the steps to add the others. Some one can correct me if I explained this wrong.

Yes you are right about adding pages. But I would like to have all the pages in the same template. Thank you.

You can create a new blank template, then choose "Page", "Import"... That should let you add any page from any template...

Maybe I just am not expressing myself properly.

When I go look for a template to use, I now have 4 new templates. Dee_A smile, Dee_A Smile - Light up the Day, Dee-A Smile - Warmth, Dee_A Smile for the heart. Instead of having 4 templates, I would rather have one template with 4 pages.

Just to make it easier choseing templates instead of having to scroll through the many one page items.

I don't believe there is any direct way to merge your 4 templates into one... You can only import pages from one to another...

Of course you could do it the long way. Import one page at a time. export it with all the pages together as a new template and then delete the unwanted templates.

Thanks Marion, that is what I was thinking too.

I was just thinking that having 4 templates showing instead of just 1 would add a lot of time when opening a new template. If you have a lot of templates, ScrapbookMax has to show a lot of thumbnails. If you could gather the pages together in one template, ScrapbookMax needs to show only one thumbnail for it.

A lot of people say that their computers get slower the more templates and embellishments they add. I can see why if they keep adding 1 page templates.

Well, I usually download load them from the Scrapbook Max Sharing Corner / template forum or buy them from the Booster store. And they add automatically to Scrapbook Max. But after doing a quick search on the Scrapbook Max site, I found out you can make your own and add them to the New template part of the gallery.

                    Quote: Creating Template Files

The first step is to actually create a great looking layout using the Scrapbook MAX! software. Simply create and edit a scrapbook layout as you normally would. When it is ready to go, select File > Export Template... from the menu bar. Give your template a unique and descriptive name and then click OK. If all went well, you will recieve a message that tells you so. Your template file will now be located in the folder "My Documents\Scrapbook MAX!\Templates" on your computer.

In order to make the smallest templates possible, make sure that the "Optimize embellishment sizes" box is checked.

So the way I figure it is. Open a template, add the pages, Export the template with all the single pages added in to one multi page template, then delete the single pages from the new section.

I just dont understand how to delete the single pages. But I am sure someone here knows how to do that.

I am hoping I did not confuse anyone, just my 2 cents,
                    Jo

That is exactly how you do it. The way to delete the single pages you want to get rid of, or any template you don't like is to simply "rightclick" on the template when you open up scrapbook max and then delete.

Thanks, I was having no luck in trying to remove templates from the *New* menu. I am amazed how easy it is once I know how. LOL
