my toolbar at the top has vanished! I have restarted the program AND my computer and no luck! ANd I can;t find my CD anywhere! (you should see my desk! ack! ack! ack!)

Julie hold down the "alt" then press "F" "B" and "i". I just tried it and it seemed to work. With out lifting off the "Alt"

Here's what I see at the top of the screen when I open a file (see attached)

I can work within the program by doing a lot of right clicking to do things but I can not puiblish to images, e-mail, etc.

As per our emails, if you uninstall / reinstall the software, does that fix the problem?

Regarding this issue in particular, we have received emails from a very small number of our users describing the same problem (missing toolbar and / or missing menus) -- so we are aware that this is happening.

HOWEVER, this problem only occurs rarely, and we haven't been able to replicate it here (so we have no idea where to look inside the program to fix it). I've added it to our bug tracking system (Ref#: 14701).

Should anyone else experience this issue, please include that reference number in your correspondence so we can keep all these reports in one place. As well, it would be extremely helpful if you could provide the following information:

1. Your operating system (Eg. Windows XP Home SP2)
2. Amount of free space on the drive Scrapbook MAX! is installed on (Eg. C:\ - 2.5 gigs free)
3. The type of account you're using (Eg. Administrator / Power User / User / Guest / Don't Know)
4. What you were doing in Scrapbook MAX! the last time it was working correctly (eg. Adding a picture, closed with/without save, SBMAX crashed and I had to ctrl + alt + delete out of it, etc.)
5. Any other information that may help us track down this issue.

The work-around is to uninstall / reinstall (As this fixes all registry settings and files), however this isn't the funnest process, and we'd like to offer a better solution!

I'm experiencing the "missing toolbar" issue as well. I haven't tried the uninstall/reinstall yet b/c I'm not sure if the uninstall will remove/delete all of the embellishments that I've downloaded from other websites that I have saved in the SBM gallery. Do I need to save those embellishments somewhere else before the uninstall? I would hate to lose all the work that I've searched for as it was very time-consuming. Please advise. Thank you!

JC, you wouldn't happen to see the "File", "Edit", "Align" etc floating anywhere else on the screen? In the Windows taskbar? Looks like you may have dragged it out of the development environment and it's hiding somewhere... Try ALT+F and see if the File Menu appears... the Menu Toolar can't be far behind.

YES........ I would definitely save them to another location ie. My Docs. That's where I keep mine & backup EVERY fortnight.

Steve - I ended up reinstalling when I originally posted tyhjis a few weeks ago so all is well now but there was nothing anywhere! It was very fristrating! I could do a lot using shortcuts and right click menus but there was no way to "save as" which is what I was trying to do.

Hello,

The uninstall won't remove anything that wasn't installed with the software, so your content will be safe.

With that being said, if you do wish to back up your embellishments, you may wish to backup this foldeR:

c:\program files\scrapbook max!\gallery

When I clicked Alt-F, nothing happened. I backed all of my images on a CD and did the un/re-install afterwards. I can finally see the menu bar and the toolbars...so glad for that! Thank you to all that have helped me with this!
