  • question regarding trial version

Hi! My name is Kathy and I am new to digital scrap booking and thought I would try the trial version of SBM. My question is this...is it possible to download things to the trial version? And another question, if I buy the complete version can I download from sources outside this community and utilize them on SBM?

    Thank you,
    Kathy

Hi Kathy, I am not sure about the first part of your question but I sure can help you with the second part, you can incorporate anything from anywhere into SBM, But you can only show it off in the gallery,in a layout that you did with it, you cannot claim anything that you didnt make yourself yours. I am sure you will be buying this product! Its soo easy it use and the people are very helpful around here, some are a little bit nuttier than others but all in all we get along so well together! I hope I helped ya out a bit!

Kathy - You can download things from all over the internet. SBM automatically imports things into the program if they are SBM files but you *can* use other types of files.

Other sites (and even some of us here when we share) generally package things as zipped files - You simply unzip them and then when you're working in a layout, you bring them into the program either by clicking the "add photo" or "add embellishment" or whatever and browsing to it OR you can have the folder with all your newly unzipped goodies opened in another window and drag them into your workspace.

      Please visit my SBM store!

To answer your question -- yes, you can download and install template/content packs into the trial version.

A good practice would be as follows:
        1. download the .smb / .smt files to your desktop.
        2. double click the files to import the content into scrapbook max!
        3. save these .smb / .smt files (either in a folder, or burn them to CD) so you have them around, should you loose them later (compter crash, virus, etc.)

        Desmond.

          Thanks!

Thank you very much for the replies! I am going to go now and try downloading something and see if I can do it...I am rather lame when it comes to figuring computer stuff out on my own. I much prefer looking over someone's shoulder and having them walk me through it.

Okay, off to see if I can do this,
          Kathy

Kathy there are some computer whizzkids on here and there are others (like me!) who need their hand holding. Don't worry, thats what the forums for and so many people to help you will never be alone.
