You need to go to the toolbar in the prgramme and click object and then music. It should guide you through. The help guide is also useful.

Welcome. By "going public" do you mean posting for everyone to see in the forums? If so, you are doing it right!

As for your question about adding music, you may want to refer to (the end of )Chapter 3 in the User's Guide which talks about background music.
