Help with Photo blanks

I've downloaded the photo blanks that Fiona generously made.
Problem if I place a photo in the blank I can't remove it. In other templates There is a clear image option, in mine nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
Also is there a tutorial anywhere to show how to make your own blanks.

The easiest way to make one of those gray boxes is to insert a photo (any photo will do) and then right click with your mouse on that photo, you will get a little dropdown box with choices and there is one choice that reads "clear image", click on that choice and that removes the photo, but leaves the gray box where the foto use to be.

thank you very much, that worked like magic. The ones I tried had no grey centre.
Now I can get on trying to make my own template.
