How do I view the templetes on this website to decide if I would like to download them to my stuff? Any help on how I get to this site or what to do would be great. Thanks so much.

Hello, which templates are you wanting to download? Most of us put a screen shot of them up others don't. which does make it hard to see what we are downloading.

Well to be honest I am not even sure how to find templetes etc on here, I just really need to know how I go about finding things I might be interested in then downloading etc, I just need some advice on getting started and then hopefully after that I will be able to put mine up for others. I am so excited and need to be doing a 1000 other things around the house but would rather be on here. Thanks for the reply and any advice and words of wisdom would be great. Courtney

One simple thing....

In MY Documents, make a folder and give a name like My SBM Downloads. When you download embellishments and papers etc. Save to that file. From there you can move where you want them to do. You will receive many zip files and again SAVE them to that folder. The only ones that I select RUN are the templetes because they will automatically go into the SBM program.

As for where to go to get templetes and embellishements. You will need to go to the Community and toward the bottom you will find templetes and embellishement links. Go there and start downloading.

Also, you can get real active with the monthly challenges. Right now we have a link called March Challenge. In there, you will find a bunch of stuff being given by the members. What I do, I make a folder for the challenge for that month EX: March's Challenge. I download everything in that one folder and work with it from that folder. After the challege is over, I will seperate them to a more permant location/folders.

I hope I haven't confused you! Just keep it simple when your starting out. You will find a lot of help here.

help needed again

I made the folder in my documents but the templete went right into sbm even though I had saved it to the folder in my documents, why is this? Any advice would be great. Thanks again.

The templete will

The templetes will automatically go into SBM when you open them. They have an extension of ".smt"

you will find some extensions with .smb these are embellishments. I recommend SAVING and putting those into the MY DOC folders then move them to Programs/ScrapBookMax/Gallery/.... You will find folders in SBM in galleries (Embellishements, Papers, Shapes etc) After I unzip files and check out the files in My documents, I then move them to the files in Galleries/Embellishments or Papers or Shapes. Most of us create many folders inside the Embellishments, Papers or Shapes folders. This allows us to organize what we have. Example, In the embellishments..... I have folders like,,,,,, Buttons, Brads, Flowers, Ribbons, Christmas, Baby, etc.

Oh I think we have you hooked. Now you know why we are all here. We were just like you. Once we tried it---it was all over. Haven't done cleaning and laundry in a long time LOL.

Onieeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone has to take this woman to Crisis Permanente stat!!!! She is putting house work before scrapping. Sounds like a life threatening condition.
