  • Download from the store

    Hi,
I guess that I want be downloading from the Store anymore. And this is what they said: Please download the items in your order immediately -- the above links are valid for the next 120 hours. Once you have downloaded all the products from your order, be sure to back them up onto a CD-R. In the event of a computer crash or virus infection, you can use these backups to reinstall your content. Please note that we are unable to provide replacement download instructions.

It looks like that Scrapbook MAX! could remember me when I buy from the store.

Unfortunately, most digi stores do the same thing...;o( I did backup my files but I made a dumb mistake...I stored my ZIP files on the same external HD as the graphics I removed from them. YEP!!! I zapped that HD with over 60 GB of material...lost all but a few graphics and will never be able to recover them all.

I hope you never make that mistake...good luck!!!

      Hello,

What exactly is the problem? Are you unable to download packs you've purchased because the links have now expired, or are you just disappointed in our policy?

Nancy72: Officially, we won't provide download links after the fact. Unoffically, if you're missing packs you purchased from our store, send me an email (desmond [at] scrapbookmax [dot] com), and i'll see what I can do. It's not that we *can't* generate new links, but that it takes time. If you don't care how long it takes, but just want new links, I can certainly help you out. It's just not a service that we can afford to provide 'on demand', right away (we wouldn't get anything else done!)

      Desmond.

I have some questions on saving. Are there any instructions on how to save our material onto a CD-R? I mean, its scattered every where in different files, and locations? How do we manage all this? When I download from this site, it can go to any number of places on my computer.

I posted a tutorial in the Frequently Asked Questions that will show you how to manipulate the files, organize them, etc. Can't remember what I called it, but it's under my name.

Does it really matter. I shop at a lot of stores and i have never had to down load but 1 time at any of them. I back up my zipped folder to CD then also save a copy to my external hard drive. I NEED ONLY 1 DOWN LOAD. What I like about the stores i shop most from is a list of my previous buys so i don't have to look them up.

Mint, how do you back up your SBM downloads? They aren't in zipped files. Thanks.

Verleen I back up my sbm files with extentions of smt and sbm by going to my computer. program file and find the folder for sbm open it go to images. There in images you should see several folders. backgrounds. scraps, embellishments, templates. I minimize the window or create a folder on my desktop labeled sbm backup. From within the image folder I open my templates and copy them all to the folder I have created on my desktop. Once those are done I go on to embellishments. I create to folders One for templates being backed up and one for embellishments. Do the same with the embellishments. I just copy the entire folder to the new one. Hope this helps, if anyone else has an easier way let me know please. It is time consuming however well worth every minute spent.

                    Hello,

I've put together a quick 10 minute backup application using a development tool we sell (AutoPlay Media Studio 6.0). You can get the backup utility here:

It copies your embellishments / templates to a folder you choose, all with just a couple of clicks. You can then burn these folders to CD-R. Comments are welcome, as are suggestions.
