Try here also. Pay particular attention to the compatablility links. You MAY be able to run it in compatability mode. The only update I was able to find for Vista on Adobe's site was for version 5.

Hear from a friend that writes tutorials about three different image editors, that she is having nothing but problems with Vista. She recommends waiting for the bugs to be worked out of the program, then installing it.

I try to do the same thing. Never use a new operating system untill it has been around for a while and all the comparability issues and bugs have been worked out. I got a free Vista upgrade when I bought my computer in December, but have no intention of installing it they come out with a stable version.

Another thing I have heard from developers is that Vista has not been able to work out the problems with the parts of the program that were supposed to be really innovative, so that the current Vista is nothing more than Windows with a few improvements.

So you dear friends might want to consider this before rushing out and spending a lot of money on the current Vista.

And before you ride a bulldozer all over me and try to pulverize me for the above comments, please keep in mind this is just what I have heard. I don't expect you to live by it!

Granny, I definitely concur... Vista is nothing but problems. I am helping a business aquintanence of mine build an Avid video editing system... He couldn't even uninstall Vista or format the drive... He had to get another hard drive to replace the boot drive... DVD drive wouldn't work... Logitech wireless mouse wouldn't work... Nero 6.0 kept crashing...

Also, there's no drivers for most software and hardware out there yet.

Better off waiting quite a while and stick with XP

well guys I got stuck with it on my computer.It is the shi--.It came already installed.It is terrible. I cannot even download my contents from scrapbook max c.d.When I put C.D. in the whole computer messes up . Tried twice. Yuck.Elements 3 it messes up and while working you get alot of lines that does not show in completed saved copy ----thank Heavens.But here I am stuck as always with little quirks. I think they like me . When things go wrong they always go on me.


So no bobody download Vista.It is not good.

Eye, softwares is not all that they twirl in the Sight, I desintall mines version and returned will be XP, and not I installed Internet explorer 7, not valley the penalty, office 2007, also this pessimo not I liked. therefore and to better you keep configurations that already was in good functioning ok, I wait you have collaborated, why you not can be without making its pretty works not and same?

You're all worring me now! We have just got 2 new computers, about a month ago, which are installed with Vista as standard.So far we haven't had any problems TOUCH WOOD but now I am wondering what is going to happen!
