Hes stuck on the outskirts of Scrapville with all his wordly goods in a U-Haul and he cant get in..he sent a mayday call to Onie and this is what he told her..
"I have visited most threads to see what they are made of and 'Days of our Scrapville' is the only one doing this. I select the thread, a new tab opens (normal), the server communications open (normal) and then before any data begins to transfer - blank page."
Do you have any suggestions for him Desmond...can you send some help he needs to get moved in asap...thanks for your help...

Desmond, Terry needs help! The UHaul is way too big for us to push. He needs to get it empied and returned ASAP.

Has he cleaned out his cookies and temp files... I know sometimes mine get sooo full that the computer comes to a halt until I clean it out! I hope it is something simple as that!

There's not much that can be done from here -- i have no idea what the problem might be.

As has been suggested, you can try clearing out your temp files.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone know what it costs to hire a cargo plane?

I'm no guru but I do consider myself v.familiar with PC's. I work with high res graphics a lot and so keeping things trimmed is second nature now (and a lot of it automatic). No heavy cache, Registry is clean, I've done a reboot just in case but to no avail.

I'm not sure if the system will allow it but if someone can drop a link here to a recent post in Scrapsville I'll try parachuting in.

No - didn't work, same result as trying to come through the front door.

I can see what is happening on my status bar - 'Sending request to www.scrapbookmax... (followed by) 'Connecting to remote host at www.scrapbookmax.com' but then... 'Sending request etc. for it's required 5 attempts to get a response.

It is as though the remote host is ignoring the request or is not recognising the request or doesn't recognise my computer? If I immediately go and attempt to connect to another forum or, string within a forum - 'battaboom, battabing' - the page begins to load and within .0839 seconds - page loaded.

Oh well, life goes on.

My browser opens a page ready and the address bar shows the following address, so (from a novice) I'm guessing that your server is picking up my request, a page is opening but no data is actually being transfered downline.

I don't know what could be wrong. That page should be just like any other page for your browser ... the fact that it has a lot of posts should only matter to our server.

Do you have any type of internet security suite installed that may be blocking the load?

Does anyone else have this type of problem, or is it only limited to your PC?

It's Terry, not us. We need to check out his credentials before giving an electronic key to the town's front gate. We are stalling him until all the info is in. But don't tell him, we do want him. Like his wife said, we need a village idiot. And he sounds like such a darling. Just want to have his profiled finish before final approval.
