Terry - no problem! Glad you know about the introductory discount offer now. Thanks for always helping others out. And I agree - the Wedding Edition is great for wedding themes, but it can be used for other themes as well - there's lots of nice color and texture choice to suit a range of albums.

I thank the price is grate. but a discount on government pension at my age is even better.
I just scanned my wedding photos and was working on them i got them back to normal color now scraping them is next I thank max has been reading my thoughts. Got to love that timing.

$30.00 for the new content doesn't seem a bad price. I've had a good look at what's included and although themed WEDDING, it does have a lot of 'general use' content.

BTW - I apologise for my 'no discount' assumption Karin - I'm one who didn't receive the e-mail but in your post in the other thread there was no mention so I (v.wrongly) assumed...

Please forgive me for that.

Thanks for the thread reply; however, since I never received the email and have been a user for approx. a year now, was wondering what discount current users get. Since we don't require the program part and many of the embellishments, shapes etc. are already within our programs, there doesn't seem to be any advantage at the full price and not an incentive for current users.

Hi there! To answer you questions mint, makeyesup, and others who are interested:

If you are a current user of SBM, you were sent an email regarding the Wedding Edition of Scrapbook MAX! Indeed, in that email, as valued users, you are offered a very cool, introductory discount on your purchase. It is fully described in that email. See below for instructions if you are a current user and did not get your email!

Scrapbook MAX! Wedding Edition comes with both Scrapbook MAX! digital scrapbooking software (which you have already if you are using the "Classic" Edition) and an entirely new, wedding-themed content pack with 30 templates and over 20 new kits.

If you already have the "Classic" edition, you do not need to reinstall the Scrapbook MAX! software, but you will want to install the content pack once you get your CD-ROM (remember that the content pack alone is worth $250 bucks, so for 39.95 plus your "current user" introductory discount, it's pretty sweet!).

As Terry explained, your new content will be, by default, automatically installed "into" Scrapbook MAX!, and you will be able to use the new content just like you use your current content. I.e. Your new wedding-themed embellishments will be under Embellishments, wedding-themed backgrounds under Backgrounds, wedding-themed Templates will be available when you choose to create a new scrapbook or Add A New Page, etc.

There are a few reasons why you wouldn't receive an email from us regarding this update:

If at any point in the past you requested to be unsubscribed from our email list
If your email server doesn't like our email server (a variety of reasons)
If your email server deleted the message as 'spam' before it hit your inbox at all
If your email software classified the message as spam, and you deleted it, or just haven't found it yet

Those are the most common reasons. Unfortunately there's no way to resend the email without sending it to everyone again ... and there'd be no guarentees that you'd get it anyways!

So what I would request is that you send an email to desmond[at]scrapbookmax[dot]com, requesting Scrapbook MAX! Wedding Edition details (be sure to mention that you own the 'classic' software ... and if possible include your order id / email address you ordered with, etc.

I sure would like to see the email with the reduced price. Since I never get emails from SBM, never know what is going on.

AS FAR AS I CAN TELL the new package is the base SBM programme but it is packaged with 'Wedding' specific content (L/O's, backgrounds, embellishments etc). I would assume that if you purchase it, the entire thing will load into your current SBM location but you will end up with all the 'Wedding' content in addition to what you already have.

In effect 'Gracie' could use the same basic software package and by coupling it with different CONTENT (L/O's, embellishments, paperscraps etc) could bring out a 'Deluxe Home Handyman' version, a 'Delux Baby' version, a 'Delux Vacation' version etc. etc. etc. Same software - different 'bits' included.

As for the discount... Gracie could offer the contents to existing SBM owners at a discount price (because we already have the programme) but it doesn't look as though this has been incorporated into the release.

This is mostly assumption so please don't quote me but I'm sure if they had have developed a whole new programme we would have heard about it.

I have had my max a long time and do get an e-mail on some occasions but i did not get it.
Now for my ? will I then have 2 Max's on my computer or will it just incorporate with the one i have adding more to it. And is there a discount for people who already have it.

Wow, I just viewed the new wedding scrapbook max and I am in love. I will have to try and figure out my finances so I can purchase it, as I have only just bought the the original one, and with currency differences etc it works out a little more expensive here. But I looooooove it. Maybe I can get all my kids and their partners to kick in and buy it for me for Mothers Day! (I can but dream)

I got the e-mail too. The templates are all so beautiful!! They are very versitile too, not just for weddings if you ask me. I SO want to get it but I just bought the program a month ago and I dont think my hubby is excited about me buying it 'again' LOL..... Maybe for mothers day if I beg
