making embellishments

I have a question about making embellishments. For example, I posted a template called Chillin'. In that template, there is a tag that I made & would like to use again in other projects. Is there any way to save that tag so that I could use it again in a different project? I tried putting it on a page by itself & saving that, but then I get the white background when I try to use it. Is it possible to do this with SBM or do I have to have Photoshop or some other program like that? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.
