    Hi I have a problem

I have shared two layouts and they posted ok
But for two nights i have tried to post two more layouts they are 4.47 mb and when i upload it takes about 1/2 hour and still nothing tells me if it is to big it just keeps loading,
I have checked over and over they are not to big.

Hi. Sometimes when Windows tells you a file is 4.6 MB, the actual size is just over 5MB. Notice when you right click on a file in Windows and choose "Properties" there is two file sizes visible in the dialog screen. The "file size" and the "size on disk". What does yours say for "size on disk"?

Ok that's the number, well that's odd. I can't imagine what the problem is. I'll do a test on my end and see if I have any problems uploading a 5MB file, then I'll get back to you.

Hi. OK I just did a test, a 4.9 MB layout uploaded in 40 seconds. I'm on a fast cable connection so that time will definitely vary for everyone, but at least we know it's working. So the issue is somehow unique to your internet connection unfortunately. That's a tricky one to assist with because it's essentially beyond our control.

Here's what I suspect is happening. Your internet connection and/or your web browser have a "time out" setting. In other words, to protect your resources they only attempt to do internet transactions for a certain amount of time before giving up and assuming the destination is not active. And your connection is of a speed at which the "time out" occurs before you have had a chance to upload the entire file if the file is beyond a certain size. So maybe a 2MB is fine but once you hit a certain size, i.e. 4Mb or beyond, it's starts "timing out".

              Frustrating.

The only solution I can really think of is to upload large files at the times of day/week when your internet connection is at its fastest. Maybe one of the programmers can weigh in if they have any tips. Sorry, I really wish I could be of more assistance, it's just one of those "internet things".
