  • Genealogist embellishments request

Does anyone have, or is anyone able to make, some embellishments specifically for us genealogists? A few of the things I'm looking for are silver/gold/brass/pewter/whatever, filigree, scrollwork, victorian, 1800's style items...little (maybe not so little?) odds and ends I can add to my pages. Would also love to have some papers/scraps for this purpose, too. I have seen and used all the usual that can be found around the web, but they're so - what should I say - drab? Over used? Maybe I'm being too picky, but gee, they ARE my ancestors, right? Heh-heh. Thank you in advance anyone who can help!

    7 old timer items

Here's 7 from my stash of oldie stuff. Spectacles, watch, skelton key, old button, old coin, Memories tag, Old Mug ad..Hope this gets you started!

Bobby Bear has a link in here for watches..Lots of fun watches to use for embellishments..You need to extract back ground to get rid of white area.

These I'm giving you have transparent backgrounds.

Forgot to mention that I do geneology too. My Grandfather was born in Eureka Kansas. His parents moved around, they lived in several areas of Kansas.

That's so neat! Out of, oh let's see, however many members there are in SBM, I wonder how many had Kansas ancestors and how many I might be related to...my father's side is German-Russian (Prussian) Mennonite, ya know? And I must be related to at least 99% of our city! LOL!

My maiden name is Dutch, but there is a lot of German and Irish, and a lot of others nationalities mixed in. I didn't know I had a little English and a drop of French blood until I did the research! Funny what you find out!

I'm Dutch... My Uncle Pete did our geneology (not "gynocology" ) all the way to 1450... pretty trippy!

Hey pretty impressive..Any serial killers listed?? LOL..No, really, going back to 1450...You may find some famous person. I found out I was related to Kit Carson. He was a Trail blazer for the western frontier. I must get my survival techniques from him. He never had any kids but his brother did.

I have my dad's line proven back to 1650's, but there is a female line that is suppose to go back to the 1100's that I found. I don't know if that person has the line proven or not, That is the "English" blood I referred to. There are famous people that I link to but not in the direct line. There was one long distant cousin that was the only person to beat George Washington in an election, He lost the following election to him though. Yes there are also skeletons that you find. There was also a sheriff that killed his wife. Luckily not my direct line
