Jan, rest assured MOST of the free fonts on dafont and other sites don't have heavy restrictions on their alphas..they allow use on selling what you make using the fonts..Not the font selling but how you design with them. Creative Memories always puts CK before their fonts so I know to leave them under guard as to how I use them. And SF and WM..are others that are pretty cool with this kind of use!! I'm not worried!! THANKS for your concern. Sometimes restricted ones accidently or deliberately get out there. Glad Sacannon looked it up for you and found on freebie site!!

YOUR WORK IS EXTRAORDINARY and VERY GRATEFUL for all your efforts!!

How absolutely devastating. A similar situation here where a child had been foreced to eat her own faeces to survive, has been beaten and left alone to get on with life. She also had cerbral palsy. I just hope the little doll has gone to a better place. These poor innocent little mites depending on animals like that to guide them.

Jan, you're fine... You've already cited your sources to the best of your ability... and it's doesn't look like you're getting much sleep anyway with all these elements you've been posting in the last couple of days.

    started a topic Gold Elements

    Gold Elements

I made these gold elements and the alphabet in photoshop before I read the word art thread concerning copyright issues. Now I'm completely confused. To font or not to font.......

I work at our local high school, where we insist that students adhere to very strict guidelines in citing all information and pictures they use for assignments. I would gladly insert an MLA or APA format works cited page with any of my submissions, but I've done just the opposite of what I teach the students. I require that they at least write down all of the vital information while they're still on the site they're using rather than go back later and try to find it, but I didn't do that. I have no idea which fonts, layers, etc. came from which sites. Throughout the last few weeks, I've googled and searched about.com for free photoshop downloads and followed their links to dozens and dozens of sites. I'm usually installing files while I cook supper, going back and forth between the stove and the computer. Bad role model!!!!!

About the most I can tell you is that the font used for the gold alphabet is called Partridge and the layer styles and shapes were probably from a link on about.com, but I'm not even positive about that.

If the copyright police show up at my door today, maybe they'll take me to a copyright cell that's quiet where I can catch up on sleep. Oooooooh, someone else doing the cooking, cleaning and laundry would be a fit and just punishment, too! And don't prisoners have cable television?

Seriously, I think we're all very good people to be concerned about this. I just read a news story about a man who put his one year-old daughter out in the snow because she woke up early on a Saturday morning and wouldn't go back to sleep. She froze to death.
