He parachuted into occupied France the day after D-Day as a special agent for the British. He helped the French organize the Resistance and decoded messages as they came in. His mission was extremely dangerous because spies were tortured and executed almost immediately if they were caught. Many of those who parachuted in with him did not survive but were caught and executed - Violette is a British heroine (there are books and a movie about her) and they went in together. He had false papers, hidden codes, and everything. He was only 20 years old at the time - he was scooped out of Harvard because his parents were French and he spoke flawless French, English and German.

My brother collects everything to do with WW2. He buys stuff weekly, if not daily! A lot of people sell stuff on ebay. He even buys kits to make the planes etc and the paints , he is very heavily into it. I must show him your story, he'll love it.
