This is great!! I've been scanning my hubby's slides from Vietnam and have been looking for something like this to make a scrapbook of his photos. Thank you for great work.
I just love this template. I have a younger brother stationed in Iraq right now. He sends me pictures all the time and this is perfect for them. Thanks for sharing!
This is the week...... Dean will be leaving IRAQ this weekend. This is his second tour and it's been the hardest. I will be glad to have my family back together.

As I was getting excited about Dean coming home from Iraq this week. We had another annoucement. My nephew, Brad enlisted in the Army yesterday. He will be off to Basic in a month! I am so proud of my Military Family!!!!
In case you all didn't know, I am a Veteran twice. I served in the Air Force in the mid 70's then came back on active duty as an Officer in the Army Nurse Corp.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: The thing that stands out to me in this forum is the close relationship we all have with each other, no matter what country we're from. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all wars could STOP if we could get everyone to communicate the way we do???? hummmmmmmmmm Maybe we should donate copies of SBM to Iraq and everyone associated with the war.

Thank you Onie. I am so glad your son is coming home and tell Brad we are proud of him! We are a military family too. My Father in Law served in Wll My husband is from the Vietnam era, but he served in Europe (I am the Army souvenir he brought home) My son Dennis served in the Navy for 4 years, Mainly in Japan and My son Brian has been Army Natl Guard for 16 years now. He served I Iraq for a year. I purchased I nice brick for our Veterans walk in our Park with their names on it. Below is a picture attached.
Is the brick in a public park? Do others have bricks too? I like that idea. El Paso is a large Military Community and it is wonderful to see our military out in the stores and other public places.

Yes it is in a public park. They built a veterans memorial just last year and we were able to purchase the bricks for a path that leads to it to help defray the cost. And yes there are many bricks. The Patriotic Society and the Veterans of foreign Wars are in charge of it I believe. My son and his Stepdaughter took part in this years Memorial day ceremony. They hang a wreath for each war, and his daughter hung the Iraqi/Afghanistan war and he was her escort. Very touching. I think I posted a layout in the gallery that was designed by Steve Russell.
